High clouds and marine layer will drop temps a little but mild weather continues
by Dave Hovde, KSBY Meteorologist
To our south there is a weather system generating a lot of mid and upper level clouds, those will continue to stream thru the area over the weekend. Near the coast some patchy marine clouds are also likely in the evening and morning hours. That’ll cause temps to dip a degree or two however generally mild temps in the 60s to low 70s are still possible.
Tuesday through Thursday the winds are likely to pick up a tad, and bring temps down to near normal levels.
A weak low pressure system is likely for later Thursday or Friday next week, it could produce a few showers but nothing over .20″
Computer models are still suggesting a mostly dry pattern thru the middle of February. We could use some rain, we’ve now fallen between 1 to 3″ behind in the region due to a much drier than normal January.

A little is better than nothing. At this rate, there might be water shortages this summer.
