Highs for Feb. 4th, 2010
by Dave Hovde, KSBY Meteorologist
With all attention focused on rain opportunities for late tonight into Saturday afternoon it would have been easy to overlook the fact it hasn’t rained yet and some of the temperatures were surprisingly mild. Grover Beach made mid 60s today despite ample clouds. The interior temps were on the cool side finishing generally just under 60.
Rain looks to begin after midnight and last into mid to late morning Friday. Winds also look to lash the Central Coast as the front passes, SE 15-30 with gusts to 40mph.
There looks to be a brief lull in activity Friday afternoon and evening before showers resume Saturday ultimately diminishing Saturday night.
Total rainfall accumulation .50-1.75″ with locally higher amounts in the mountains and foothills.
In the extended forecast Sunday and Monday look dry, Tuesday and Wednesday could see showers return.
