Hermine lands a blow in south Texas

Tropical Storm Hermine rolled into south Texas early Tuesday, bringing heavy rains and strong winds to an area battered by Hurricane Alex earlier this summer. Several counties also had to deal with tornado warnings.

Hermine nearing the coast…should make landfall tonight

Tropical Storm Hermine, about 100 miles south-southeast of Brownsville,should make landfall later tonight.
The National Hurricane Center said the storm, packing maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, would hit land in northeastern Mexico or extreme south Texas. Hermine was traveling north-northwest at 15 mph, and should move into inland Texas Tuesday, [...]
